What's Next for Project Unicorn

We had a really big week last week. Jordan powered through nerves and faced the Shark Tank and got to go on national television for the first time. She got to show off a brand new version of Project Unicorn and show off an extra sparkly version of her project logo shirt. (Not to mention, Jordan 3D-printed the unicorn logo and shared them with Rachael Ray and the Sharks!)Ever since Jordan had the chance to work with KIDmob and Autodesk to learn about design, she's talked about how she wants more kids to have a chance to learn how to design just like her. So, we are going to keep it going. The new Born Just Right board met yesterday to evaluate our next steps and I'll tell you that we're getting serious. Nonprofit paperwork was filed last year and we are a 501(c)3 pending organization. I opened a bank account, we are looking at redesigning this website and getting more serious about brochures and other material that helps tell our story. We also launched a Born Just Right fundraising t-shirt store. It's been a long time since we sold shirts and I'm super lucky a local business talked to me about setting this up. The apparel coordinator at The Ultramax Nation surprised Jordan with a different style Project Unicorn shirt - one that turns our logo into a sparkle logo. I can't believe I hadn't thought of doing that!We are honored to have so much support for Jordan. Our board members are amazing. The support from Autodesk and KIDmob and so many others across the country and around the world blow me away. They all know that opening creativity to all abilities is a big deal. Add to the kind words shared on CNN.com, I'm so proud to be the mom of kids who are growing up confident, able and excited to mentor others.
