What if... Project Unicorn Creation Excitement

Jordan's hand works with string and ties a white 3d printed arm to her shorter arm

Jordan and her design partner, Sam Hobish, met twice this week to keep plugging away at Project Unicorn. Last weekend, Jordan realized the most recent design plan wasn't going to work out. I was worried it would leave Jordan down on this project.

Luckily, the disappointment didn't last long. Sam's great attitude helped Jordan pivot onto the next plan of attack. First, her showed her a new plan for shooting out the sparkles - which works too well, so Sam is working on that. I have to give Sam huge props for being willing to work with glitter. This isn't the cleanest project to work on.

In the meantime, Jordan offered a really cool idea: What if the next arm had Bluetooth? She was thinking about a selfie stick she got during last year's Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team Kids Camp. She has had a lot of fun with that device... Even though selfie sticks have gotten a lot of bad press. We don't ban them at our house. She shared how she uses it with Sam and they started thinking about possible ways they could attach that stick to an arm attachment. Jordan is super excited about this idea.

Also... Project Unicorn has a logo. I'm not sharing it yet because Jordan gets to decide if she wants to make any changes to it and what kind of font she wants to use. I can't wait to share it soon. (Maybe sometime next week.)
