The end of a season
As school continues in full swing and many kids in other parts of the country kick off a new school year, we are saying goodbye to our awesome pool. It's a community that is full of regular people who like to hang out by a pool. There are no airs. There's just fun and conversation. Oh, and swimming. We spent the weekend at the pool as much as we could... Outside of a big Mizzou football game. When we are in town, I absolutely love spending time at our pool because of the people. I'm kind of sad when it closes down because I won't see some of them until next summer. For Jordan, she didn't take full advantage of the summer to improve her swimming. For a kid who says she wants to be a triathlete, her focus on swimming isn't quite there. But she is able and can safely navigate the whole pool. It wasn't that many years ago when she couldn't do that. But because she need to keep improving, we might use a local indoor pool for extra swim lessons - maybe after the football season ends. This past summer was epic. Actually, this is an epic year. With two trips to Disney under our belt, Camp No Limits, California, two weeks in Maine, a special visit to Hallmark and the incredible kindness of Under Armour along with awesome neighbors, fun at the pool and all around happiness, Jordan is living a very good life. (But she can still be disappointed about the end of pool season.)
