Special friends

Our house is full of friends and happiness. It's March Madness... For years, we'd go to my brother-in-law's house in St. Louis to watch many screens, laugh and enjoy our awesome friends. He moved a while back and luckily, we've been able to remain connected to his (and now our) wonderful friends. In the last couple of years, we've met at our house. My brother-in-law comes into town to watch and we all have the same kind of fun. This year a whole bunch of friends from St. Louis have joined in the fun. That includes our very sweet friend, three-year-old Ryan. We love him and his parents very much and during this trip, it's been wonderful to see how Jordan and Ryan get along. Mr. Ryan was born three months premature. He fought and fought and continues to get so big and strong. He has to deal with cerebral palsy, but every time we spend time with him, it's incredible to see his amazing ablities. We have conversations in his sweet, calm way and you should see his smiles when he sees Jordan. I did capture this super sweet silliness when they were being monkeys together:

I helped Ryan's mom put together an update to her blog about her rockin' little guy: Watch Ryan Grow. This weekend was such a wonderful way to return to life at home after a week away. I'm headed out of town again next week to take part in a really neat conference as part of BlogHer. Hopefully I'll have a chance to meet a couple of amazing people who I haven't had a chance to meet in person. I'll also have a chance to catch up with old friends who I adore and I haven't seen before I was a mom!
