It's that time of year... It's kind of cold but Jordan is jumping into a new softball season. This is her third year playing ball and she's extra motivated this year. After meeting with Hayden Filson last fall and learning how to really play one-handed softball, Jordan is extra excited.Today, Jordan had a chance to meet her team and play a bit. Two of her favorite friends, twins who live in our neighborhood, are playing on the team. A bunch of other girls from her school and a few from a nearby elementary school are on the team as well.Today we convinced Jordan to try a new way of swinging the bat... Backhanded so she has more power. It's actually how Hayden plays and I knew by reminding Jordan about that fact, she might be willing to try it. I think Jordan did a great job. I realize I have hundreds of stories to share from the last month or so... Including a really exciting trip to Chicago and many weeks where I went out of town and tried to soak up every second I was in town with the family. I promise to share more while I'm in town for the next couple of weeks. I'm figuring out a new balance with my new job... I'll figure it out, I promise!
