Let's Watch a Late Movie Together
When I travel, I try really hard to see people I care about. After ten years of teaching, a combined 17 years in the world of journalism, almost ten years in the blogosphere and a year working in an awesome new non-profit job, I have great friends everywhere I go. So when I go to New York City next week, I found the coolest opportunity to hang out with friends of Born Just Right. It'll be a late gathering, but if you're up to it, I'd love to see you. Here's the deal. On Thursday, November 21st, a week-long showing of Long Shot: The Kevin Laue Story will wrap at the AMC Empire 25. It's a movie I've really wanted to see. It chronicles Kevin Laue's experience as a college basketball player with one hand. I have yet to meet Kevin, but I certainly have watched his hard work on the court get recognized. When I found out I'd have a chance to see the movie, I started inviting a few friends. But why not you? Even if we haven't met, I'd love to see you at the 9:00 pm showing. Yeah, it's sort of late. This is probably a grown-up only event on a school night. But if there's any chance you're willing to hang out in New York City, I'd love to see you.Need a little motivation? I'll bring a Born Just Right t-shirt for you. If you say yes on the Facebook event page I've created or leave a comment on this post, I'll reach out to you and find out what kind of shirt you'd like. All you have to do is meet me in the lobby around 8:45pm with a purchased ticket from Fandango. It would be amazing to see you there. If not, I'll be sure to write a review after I see it!
