Birthday Fundraising for Camp No Limits

Jordan is learning how to become a mentor from some of the very kindest, most supportive amputee adults.

For so many kids, summer camp is the best part of the year. There's a chance to see friends and families, enjoy swimming, join in on activities... For Jordan, her camp experience also includes occupational and physical therapies, life skills, mentoring and emotional support. That's just some of the special things that happen at Camp No Limits. Jordan is lucky to say she's attended the camp every year since she was three-years-old. In 2017, she hopes to attend Camp No Limits Missouri (in June) AND Camp No Limits Maryland (in September).Since 2012, instead of asking for birthday gifts, Jordan asks for donations that can help send kids to Camp No Limits. She's raised more than $18,000! This year, she has a very big ask. (Check out the video to learn all about it.)

To kick off the

fundraising this year

, our family gave $1,000 - that will send TWO kids to camp from the start. It's a bigger donation than usual, but it just seemed like the right thing to do. Jordan is asking for a lot of donations this month! Jordan turns ELEVEN on December 29th. To add to our challenge, our family will be out of the country over her birthday, so we won't be able to encourage those last minute, end-of-the-year donations!Thank you in advance! Throughout the month, we will share additional stories about camp and why helping kids attend can be such a powerful experience. I agree with Jordan. She wouldn't be the person she is today without attending camp year after year.
