We're working!!

We are making progress on day one of Jordan's helper arm! Actually we're working on two helpers. Jordan and I are very excited about it.The first arm will remain simple - straight arm with the ability for multiple attachments: a simple Captain Hook hook that will help Jordan do cool monkey bar action, a swimming fin and of course a bike hand.The second arm will have an elbow to focus on bimanual fine motor skills. It will be a simple joint that we can use a screwdriver to tighten or loosen. We haven't decided if we want to include a locking mechanism that can freeze the arm in place.Jordan was a champ at getting casted -a fiberglass wrap that gets molded to her arm. She got to do it twice since she's getting two arms. Lucky kid!I'm kind of live blogging the experience on Facebook.
